When you go online and pay your water bill- please click the pay utlity button....not the pay misc. you will need to have your account number to pay and use the two zeros in front of your account number. If you pay on the misc., it does not go to your account and give you credit MISC is for all other non utility payments....example: golf, bulk water, dock fee, cleaning fee, etc. If you pay your utility bill after 7:00 pm on the 15th then you will automatically be assessed a late fee. The city’s utility bills are typically mailed out between the 27th and the 30th each month and are due by the close of business (4:45 pm) on the 15th of the following month. As for those people who drop off their payments at city hall, Remember, We empty the drop box at 7:30 a.m. when we come to work on the 16th. Everything after that is assessed a penalty.

Welcome to the website for the City of Nocona Texas! Nocona is located in the northern part of Montague County Texas and has a population of 3,002. Nocona was so name after the Comanche Indian Chief, Peta Nocona. In 1887, the MK&T Railroad came to town bringing rapid growth to the area. Nocona was incorporated as a city in 1891 with it's population growing to 900 by the year 1900. Nocona's history is rich with agriculture, manufacturing, and petroleum.
